A 24-year old mother of two, visited her obstetrician multiple times complaining of spotting.  After ultrasounds and blood tests were performed, she was pronounced healthy and was not instructed to return for a follow up. Seven months later, she was admitted to the emergency room and was diagnosed with lung and metastastis and immediately began chemotherapeutic treatment. Unfortunately, because of the delay in diagnosis, she died. Hodes Milman Liebeck obtained a settlement of $650,000 for the two surviving children.
